Dr. M. V. Jayaraman founded the MVJ Group of Institutions in 1980 with a simple conviction — that quality education should be accessible, value-based and rooted in Indian ethos. What began as a modest endeavour has since grown into one of Bengaluru's respected education groups.
His belief that a nation is built in its classrooms led to the establishment of MVJ College of Education, dedicated to preparing teachers of integrity and competence. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to Bangalore North University, with an approved annual intake of 100 students.
Under his stewardship, the institution has invested consistently in faculty development, well-equipped laboratories, a growing library and strong practice school partnerships — ensuring every student teacher graduates classroom-ready.
His legacy continues to shape the college's culture: discipline with warmth, academic rigour with humanity, and a lasting commitment to the communities MVJ serves in Bangalore Urban, Karnataka.
